Online Banner Advertising: A study of Consumer Responses to Various Factors

This study explores the role of the celebrity endorsement in consumer attitude formation and behavioral intention on the Web. The purpose of this paper is to identify how the various factors and interactivity influence attitude toward the target ads and click-through intention. The findings indicate that the celebrity factor of the online advertising possibly play not only the role of leverage as causal effect when consumers form their attitude toward the banner advertising, but also that theses factors indirectly influence click-through intention. TANTANGAN PARTAI SOLIDARITAS INDONESIA DALAM MENGHADAPI VERIFIKASI KEMENTERIAN HUKUM DAN HAK ASASI MANUSIA (STUDI KASUS: DPD PSI KOTA BANDA ACEH)

ABSTRAK Peraturan Menteri Hukum dan Ham (Kemenkumham) Nomor 37 Tahun2015 tentang Tata Cara Pendaftaran Pendirian Badan Hukum, PerubahanAnggaran Dasar Dan Anggaran Rumah Tangga, Serta Pergantian KepengurusanPartai Politik merupakan salah satu syarat berdirinya partai politik baru. Verifikasitersebut akan melihat kelengkapan partai politik baru yakni secara struktural100% di tingkat pusat dan Provinsi, 75% untuk tingkat Kabupaten/Kota dan 50%untuk Kecamatan. Kemudian juga kelengkapan syarat administrasi seperti SuratKeterangan Domisili (SKD) kantor untuk tingkatan Provinsi, Kabupaten/Kota danKecamatan, kemudian Surat Keterangan Terdaftar (SKT) untuk tingkatan Provinsidan Kabupaten/Kota. Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (DPD) Partai Solidaritas Indonesia(PSI) Kota Banda Aceh adalah salah satu kepengurusan tingkat Kabupaten/Kotayang telah melalui verifikasi sesuai aturan Kemenkumham. Tidak hanya persoalantahapan verifikasi, DPD PSI Kota Banda Aceh sebagai partai politik baru di Aceh juga harus dihadapkan oleh kekhususan yang dimiliki Provinsi Aceh. Kekhususan Provinsi Aceh telah melahirkan partai politik lokal (parlok) yang akan menjadipesaing DPD PSI Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuifaktor apa saja yang menjadi kendala internal maupun eksternal yang dihadapiDPD PSI Kota Banda Aceh sebagai partai politik baru terkait pemenuhan syaratatau aturan yang telah di tetapkan Kemenkumham. Metode penelitian yangdigunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Datadiperoleh melalui sumber data primer dan data sekunder, data primer melaluipenelitian lapangan yaitu dengan melakukan wawancara kepada informan.Sedangkan data sekunder melalui penelitian kepustakaan yaitu dengan dokumendokumen,buku-bukudan bacaan-bacaan terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa kendala yang datang dari internal maupun eksternal yang dihadapi olehDPD PSI Kota Banda Aceh ketika memenuhi segala aturan dari Kemenkumhamtelah berhasil dihadapi. Keberhasilan verifikasi tersebut dilakukan melaluikebijakan yang menjadi keputusan bersama, sehingga DPD PSI Kota Banda Acehtelah mampu menyelesaikan proses verifikasi Kemenkumham. This study aims to determine what were the factors that became theinternal and external constraints faced by the DPD PSI Banda Aceh as a newpolitical party in the fulfillment of requirements or conditions set by theKemenkumham. The research used a qualitative research method with descriptiveapproach. Data collected through primary and secondary sources; primary datawere obtained through field research by conducting interviews to informant.While the secondary data were obtained through literature research fromdocuments, books and related readings. The results of this research show that theinternal and external challenges experienced by DPD PSI Kota Banda Aceh whenfulfilling all the requirements of Kemenkumham is a process that the party mustface. Perintah Memberdayakan Akal dalam Islam

AbstrakDalam agama Islam, akal memiliki kedudukan yang mulia. Perintah untuk berpikir dan memperhatikan ciptaan Allah telah banyak disinggung baik melalui Al-Qur’an maupun As-Sunnah. Namun dalam perkembangannya, tidak sedikit umat Islam yang terkena penyakit taqlid dan jumud, yaitu penyakit yang menjadi salah satu sebab utama kemunduran peradaban Islam dimasa lampau. Sehingga untuk melawan penyakit tersebut, penyegaran pemahaman umat Islam mengenai perintah untuk berpikir perlu digalakkan. Salah satunya dengan dibukanya kembali pintu ijtihad. Dalam kaitannya dengan akal dan ijtihad metode yang sering dikaitkan ialah metode burhani yakni metode yang mengutamakan pendekatan rasionalitas.Kata kunci: akal, Al-Qu’ran dan As-sunna

Terminologies such as al jadl, al mufawadhat, al hîwar al mûhajah, and al hâdith etc. that are being used by the Muslims for the notion of dialogue   have also been elaborated. The thoughts of contemporary Muslims scholars involved in interfaith dialogue reveal   that dialogue as conversation between the representatives of religions with the aim of developing understanding and harmony is in accordance with Islamic teachings. The Da’wah, which involves knowing, learning   and persuading each other, is also kind of dialogue. Disagreements of nations are diversities from which need for dialogue emerges. Such type of prospects and benefits of interfaith dialogue particularly in Muslims’ perspective have been traced then. Islamic concept of religious diversity, which is based on recognition of almost all pre Islamic Religions, has been elaborated in third part of this paper. No compulsion in choice of faith is core of Islamic belief. Muslim Jurists are agreed that freedom of choice of faith is basic ingredient of conversion. Conversion by force and coercion is null and void. This has been discussed in forth part of this study. The fifth part of the study deals with interfaith tolerance and respect. The last part of the study consists upon miscellaneous rules that regulate the conduct of interfaith dialogue. diversities of cultures, belief systems, and standards of morality. The pluralistic quality of truth affirms that truth is always relational. Among the contemporary Muslims there are those who, on the base of Islamic theology, are also thinking that Islam is not the only way of salvation. Muslims can go to paradise by following Islam; the adherent of other faiths may also attain God’s grace by following their own faith. Unity of essence, in faiths is the base of religious pluralism. Al-Qur’ān is also inviting toward ‘unity of faith’ where wisdom and fair dialogue bring together the communities of different religions and cultures into a harmony of faith and purpose. Exclusivisim, inclusivism, parallelism and pluralism are dialogical attitudes but pluralism is most appropriate for dialogue. Sound basis of religious Pluralism is found in Islamic theology. It believes that submission to God in the light of divine guidance is the core of the massages of all the prophets and messengers. All prophets were Muslims (submitters to God), and Islam is not merely the religion preached by Muhammad but was also the religion of all the true prophets of God such as Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, and Jesus and their followers. Muslim recognition of legitimate religions is not limited to Christianity and Judaism only, but it extends to almost al major pre-Islamic religions including Hinduism and Buddhism. Religious pluralism in Islam is based on the acknowledgement of the non-believer on three distinct levels: The first is that of humanism. Its second level is ‘universalism of revelation’. The third level of religious pluralism in Islam is its identification with historical revelation of Judaism and Christianity. The Freedom of choice of faith is the ultimate result and thus aftermath of the religious pluralism. Islam also considers it as the basic ingredient of conversion because conversion by force, coercion or interference is null and void. It is need of time that scholars of Islamic Studies should work hard for exploring the further pluralistic dimensions of Islam. </p

mutual understanding on ethical basis so that the visions, loyalties, ideals and values of individuals irrespective of their religious affiliations can be developed. This study aims to present the importance of Islamic ethics for the global society. It briefly examines the Islamic ethics and suggests that Quran, Sunnah, the literature of Adab and legal rulings are the main sources of ethics in the Islamic tradition. This is followed by a discussion on the Islamic injunctions on important ethics of multi-faith society such as righteousness and goodness. This is followed by the discussion on religious pluralism as the basic ethic of global society. The opinions of the Muslim jurists about the liberty of faith are also explored. The final part of the paper analyses in detail the legal rulings of Islam regarding interfaith marriages and social relations among the followers of different religious traditions.</p

Association between self-reported general and mental health and adverse outcomes: a retrospective cohort study of 19 625 Scottish adults

&lt;b&gt;Objective&lt;/b&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; Self-reported general health and mental health are independent predictors of all-cause mortality. This study examines whether they are also independent predictors of incident cancer, coronary heart disease and psychiatric hospitalisation. &lt;b&gt;Methods&lt;/b&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; We conducted a retrospective, population cohort study by linking the 19 625 Scottish adults who participated in the Scottish Health Surveys 1995–2003, to hospital admissions, cancer registration and death certificate records. We conducted Cox proportional hazard models adjusting for potential confounders including age, sex, socioeconomic status, alcohol, smoking status, body mass index, hypertension and diabetes. &lt;b&gt;Results&lt;/b&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; Poor general health was reported by 1215 (6.2%) participants and was associated with cancer registrations (adjusted Hazard Ratio [HR] 1.30, 95% CI 1.10, 1.55), coronary heart disease events (adjusted HR 2.30, 95% CI 1.86, 2.84) and psychiatric hospitalisations (adjusted HR 2.42, 95% CI 1.65, 3.56). There was evidence of dose relationships and the associations remained significant after adjustment for mental health. 3172 (16%) participants had poor mental health (GHQ ≥4). After adjustment for general health, the associations between poor mental health and coronary heart disease events (adjusted HR 1.36, 95% CI 1.13, 1.63) and all-cause death (adjusted HR 1.38, 95% CI 1.23, 1.55) became non-significant, but mental health remained associated with psychiatric hospitalisations (fully adjusted HR 2.02, 95% CI 1.48, 2.75). &lt;b&gt;Conclusion&lt;/b&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; Self-reported general health is a significant predictor of a range of clinical outcomes independent of mental health. The association between mental health and non-psychiatric outcomes is mediated by general health but it is an independent predictor of psychiatric outcome. Mapping of Highly Cited Articles Published in The Journal of Academic Librarianship

The assessment of highly cited papers published in a single journal is an important parameter to appraise the research. The present study aims to analyze the attributes of 100 highly cited papers published in The Journal of Academic Librarianship (JAL). The data of targeted papers was obtained from the Web of Science database on the 2nd Week of February 2022. The highly cited papers were published between 1983 to 2016 and these papers were cited 6,289 times with an average of 628.9 citations per paper. The highest number of cited papers were published in 2008 and the papers published in 2006 gained the highest number of citations. Slightly more than half of the papers were written by a single author pattern but the multi-author pattern papers yielded the higher citation impact. The authors belonged to 18 countries that contributed to the highly cited papers but the maximum number of papers (75%) were contributed by the United States. The keyword analysis was performed to assert the preferred area of research. The findings of the current study help to identify the trends of influential research published in JAL over the last four decades
